Kudrin skeptical about Russia reaching 3% econ rise by ‘21
MOSCOW, Dec 25 (PRIME) -- Acceleration of Russian economic growth to 3% by 2021 is improbable despite the national projects and investment, Audit Chamber head Alexei Kudrin said at a meeting on national projects in the Presidential Administration on Wednesday.
“We believe that structural institutional reforms are insufficient to ensure such sustainable growth. The national projects, if fulfilled, do not reach a critical mass to drive us to this growth path,” Kudrin said.
He said that potential growth of the Russian economy does not exceed 1.5% per year and will most probably remain over the years to come.
He also said that too slow a growth can ruin the national projects envisaging a more than 3% of the gross domestic product (GDP) increase per year after 2021.
